How to naturally protect your skin against the sun?

Every year, we take out our panoply of hats, sunglasses and generously cover our skin with sun protection. But did you know that using conventional sunscreen isn't so good for your health? On the one hand, it contains unnatural filters that absorb harmful rays, unlike an organic sunscreen that uses mineral filters that reflect the rays. On the other hand, repeated application of these filters poisons our body. To overcome this problem, here are several completely natural solutions that you can count on alone or in combination.

Food supplements

Of natural origin and with the mention AB (Organic Agriculture), there are all kinds on the market. In particular, they help stimulate tanning and prepare your skin for the sun. Their action will therefore reinforce the effect of other organic sunscreens. You can opt for tablets or capsules which are generally to be taken as a cure for a month before exposure, such as Phytoceutic's organic sunscreen product. And for those who have trouble, refer to powdered food supplements to add directly to your drink or those already liquid.

Carrot oil

Its use is widely known and widespread. The beta-carotene it contains helps bring that much-sought-after healthy glow effect and prolongs the tan. It also has good antioxidant power. To use it, massage a few drops into the skin. As this oil is colored, you will have to be careful that it does not stain clothes.

Food

We repeat it again, nothing better than eating carrots for the same reasons as those mentioned above. But it is not the only food containing beta-carotene. Think of beautiful seasonal fruits such as melon, apricot or mango. Also look for foods rich in lycopenes that help protect against the sun because they are rich in antioxidants such as tomatoes, watermelon and pink grapefruit.

Aloe vera

In gel form, it is quite a hydrating product. Its light and fluid texture quickly penetrates the skin but leaves a thin layer on the surface of the skin which will partly protect against the sun. This is what gives this tugging effect a bit like when you let a mask dry. In case of sunburn, it will have an effective soothing effect on the burning sensation and a restorative action for the skin.

To sum up, whether you choose a product to ingest or apply, you will in any case have much better results by combining them. Do not forget to supplement them with an organic sunscreen (spray, cream, gel) adapted to your phototype. It will work just as well as conventional creams while being safe for your body.
