Olive oil

When researchers in a 2012 PLOS ONE study analyzed the diets of 1,264 women.
They found that higher consumption of olive oil (more than 8.4 grams or 2 teaspoons per day) was associated with 31% less signs of aging compared to people consuming less than 3.8 grams (about 1 teaspoon).

Olive oil beat all of the other oils tested, including sunflower and peanut. Why ? 75% of monounsaturated fatty acids contained in olive oil play an important role in preserving youthfulness.

Dark chocolate

This delicious treat is rich in cocoa flavanols .
A drink rich in flavonols and dark cocoa powder helps to hydrate the skin and improve oxygenation of skin cells .

A study presented in the book "The Beauty Diet by Lisa Drayer specifies that a consumption equivalent to 100g of dark chocolate is far too high in calories to suit most women.

It is better to stay around 150 daily cocoa calories to enjoy the benefits on the skin without the weight gain.

Oatmeal

This mixture of cereal seeds (oats, barley, wheat… ) is perfect for breakfast.
The reason is that it has a double boost effect on the skin. To taste it, add finely chopped fresh fruit to your oatmeal.

Sardines

A portion of sardines (about 100g) contains 1.5 grams of omega-3 fatty acids. This makes it one of the best sources of fat.
Fatty fish is particularly rich in omega-3 fats called DHA, a natural anti-inflammatory.
In her book, Jessica Wu states that "Inflammation is now known to be the root cause of acne .
So including omega-3s in your diet can help keep your skin clear and healthy .

Organic beef

It's really hard to promote meat, let alone beef, for health.

But for those who can't live without it, at least know that it's better to choose a meat of beef forage-fed organic .

Not only does it contain a higher ratio of omega-3 to omega-6 fatty acids, but it also contains nearly 30 grams of protein per 100g serving.

“Protein is the building block of collagen and elastin tissue, which keeps skin tight and less wrinkled” , explains Jessica Wu . Choose lean cuts like sirloin tip and flank steak.

Green tea

The catechins in green tea, such as EGCG (a natural antioxidant), increase blood flow and oxygenate the skin. Which provides key nutrients to maintain a healthy complexion.

Kale

It is one of the best sources of lutein and zeaxanthin. These are nutrients that absorb and neutralize free radicals created by UV rays.
A plate of Kale completes our needs in vitamins A and C , essential for our well-being and beauty.

Nuts

It is the only type of nut that contains such a high amount of omega-3 fatty acids.
Nuts contain an omega-3 called alpha-linolenic acid.
A deficiency in this fat can lead to, among other things, eczema, which is associated with dry, scaly skin.
Again, diet is a key tool in skin diseases that affect us all more or less.

Tomatoes

The antioxidant lycopene contained in tomatoes improves the natural SPF of the skin.
Be careful however, this will never replace sunscreen.
Remember to continue to protect yourself well against its harmful rays for your health and for the beauty of your skin.

Orange or lemon zest

According to American researchers, people who consume citrus peels are less likely to get skin cancer.
