1. With shampoo

Carefully remove tangled hair on the brush using a comb.

Fill a small basin with hot water and add some shampoo.

Immerse your hairbrush in it and let it soak for 1 hour. Rinse with clear water and let dry on a towel.

You can put several hairbrushes to soak at the same time. Shampoo can be replaced with liquid soap.

It's a quick and effective cleaning that you can do once a week.

2. With white vinegar

With a comb, remove the hair from the brush. Fill a glass with pure white vinegar and put your brush in it.

Leave to soak for 1 hour and rinse with clean water. Dry the brush on a towel.

White vinegar not only cleans the brush, but thanks to its acidic pH, it disinfects it.

Very handy when the lice are back! Add a drop of essential oil of your choice to eliminate bad smells.

Again, you can do this simple and effective cleaning every week.

3. With bicarbonate

Every time you comb your hair, sebum gets on your brush. It tends to build up on the bristles of the brush.

Result, as soon as you brush your hair, it is deposited again on your hair. Not super clean, is it?

The baking soda eliminates all traces of sebum that has become encrusted on your brush. You don't even need ammonia!

To do this, remove the hair on the brush using a comb.

Fill a small basin with lukewarm water and put 4 tablespoons of baking soda in it.

Immerse the brush in this bath and let it soak overnight. Rinse it well and let it dry.

To have a nickel and well-maintained hairdressing equipment, you can do this cleaning once a month.

Additional advice

- If your hairbrush handle is made of plastic, it may not hold up well to standing in water overnight. In this case, just immerse the brush and not the handle in the cleaning bath.

- Know that these tips for cleaning a wooden, plastic, bamboo, boar bristle or bristle hairbrush are just as effective for cleaning a comb.

- Baking soda and white vinegar are natural products that are harmless to health. It is therefore ideal for cleaning the baby brush!
