Supplies

70 ml Castile soap

70 ml Aloe Vera gel (no juice!)

1 tablespoon almond oil (or olive oil)

70ml warm water

Vitamin E drops

Essential oil (optional, lavender has a calming effect and also smells wonderful)

Soap dispenser or bottle

How to make DIY shaving soap

1. Put all ingredients in the bottle or dispenser and shake vigorously
2. Shake vigorously every time before use

The shaving soap has a shelf life of several months. If the bottle is empty, make a new one immediately, but make sure that the bottle is rinsed well first.

The oil can be replaced with coconut oil. Avoid using citrus oil, especially in the sun. Citrus oil attracts the sun and can cause a burning sensation on freshly shaved skin. If you have just shaved, you should also try to avoid the sun or protect your skin from the sun. The sun can have an irritating effect on freshly shaved skin.

Make DIY shaving cream yourself

100 ml coconut, almond or olive oil

2-3 tablespoons cocoa or shea butter

70 ml Aloe Vera gel or Honey

2 teaspoons sodium carbonate (baking soda)

This is how you make DIY shaving cream

1. Melt the cocoa or shea butter together with the oil au bain marie in the bowl of warm water
2. Remove from heat source and add remaining ingredients
3. Beat with a fork or mix the mixture for a few minutes
4. Put the shaving cream in the glass jar
5. When cooling, make sure that the ingredients do not separate, otherwise continue mixing/mixing or shake the jar vigorously

The shaving cream has a shelf life of two months!
