Epilation tips

The more often you epilate, the longer the hairs stay away and the thinner they become. Now that summer is just around the corner, now is the perfect time to start epilating your legs or armpits. Read our tips for epilating your legs or armpits.

Which epilator do you choose?
An epilator has rotating discs with tweezers in between. They pull your hair out quickly, which is ideal for large surfaces such as your legs. There are special epilators for sensitive skin, such as your armpits and bikini line. If you want to use your epilator for that, pay attention to that. There are also various attachments, such as massage rollers or an ice block to make epilation less painful. Some epilators also come with a shaving or trimming attachment.

Epilation for the first time
After epilation, your skin may be red and sensitive. Therefore, epilate preferably before going to sleep and in any case not before going into the sun or going to a party.

Tips

  • Some epilators can also be used in the shower or bath. If your device is suitable for this, you can choose that too.
  • Epilate on clean, dry skin. Preferably after a shower, epilation is then a little easier.
  • To make the skin completely dry, you can use a little talcum powder. This makes it easier for the epilator to glide over your skin.
  • Pull your skin tight. This is especially important for your armpits and bikini line.
  • Clean the epilate skin after epilation.
  • Lubricate your skin to prevent redness and bumps. Sudo cream is very soothing. You can also use talcum powder.
  • Exfoliate your skin regularly to prevent ingrown hairs as much as possible.
