Little honest lingerie

Do you want to surprise your partner by putting on an exciting set? There is a good chance that you are not sure whether your lingerie has been produced fairly.

Most brands keep their manufacturing policies secret. Most lingerie, like much clothing, is produced in high-risk countries, where the employees work for far too low wages.

No openness
22 lingerie brands were investigated, of which 14 brands received a negative purchase recommendation. That is because these brands do not disclose their production. They do not show whether it has been furnished fairly and environmentally friendly.

Transparency is needed
The founder of Rank a Brand believes that companies cannot sit back, while there is a great chance that the production chain is full of misery and danger. 'So we promote brands that are visibly committed. In order to play a meaningful role as consumers, brands must be transparent about this.”

Honest choices
Fortunately, there are also brands that do provide openness. Do you want honest underwear? Then the Conscious Collection from H&M is a good option, as are the smaller brands Pants to Poverty and Saint Basics.

Do you think it is important that brands demonstrate that they work fairly and sustainably?
