With a buffer file you can file and polish the top layer of your nails. Then apply a Nail Whitener, which refreshes the color of your nails.
This way your nails won't discolour from now on...
Under the heading better safe than sorry, from now on you should paint your nails with a base coat before applying a color. Are you going for a very intense color? Then preferably apply two layers. The first layer can, for example, be a so-called ridge filler. This polish fills the ridges and dents in the nails so that the colored pigments cannot penetrate. Then apply a regular transparent base coat. Let the two coats dry thoroughly before applying a (dark) color.
