The difference between botox, fillers and injectables

The words injectables, fillers and botox are often used interchangeably. While they each have a different meaning.

What is an injectable ?
Injectables are understood to mean everything that can be inserted into the skin with an injection needle, which can be a filler, but also a liquid to dissolve a filler or a paralyzing substance such as Botox.

What is a filler?
A filler is a filler, usually based on hyaluronic acid, that is applied into the skin with an injection needle. For example, to give volume to hollow cheeks or to fill in a wrinkle.

What is botox? Botox is an injectable but not a filler:the botulinum toxin type A substance does not give volume but paralyzes the facial muscles. The skin can no longer wrinkle and thus becomes smoother.
