Wash your hair less often

We give tips to avoid having to wash your hair every day.

Reduce it slowly If you stop washing your hair every day, chances are your hair will become greasy. Slowly reduce the number of washes per week. Wash your hair every other day for a while, then two or three times a week. It's a transition, but eventually your hair will get used to it and not get greasy as quickly.

Shower every day
Just because you don't wash your hair every day doesn't mean you can't shower. Do you not feel fresh enough if you only use a washcloth? Wear a shower cap, or just rinse your hair with water.

Use an alternative to shampoo
You can use sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) to clean your hair. You can just exercise and sweat without using shampoo afterwards.

Experiment with hairstyles
Unwashed hair is a little stiffer, which makes it easier to try different hairstyles. A braid, a bun or updo stays in place better.

Use dry shampoo
Is your hair getting greasy at the roots? By using dry shampoo, you can postpone washing for another day.
