Beauty trend:the electric facial brush

Advertorial – They are popping up everywhere and are immensely popular, the electric facial brushes. Such a brush cleans your skin in no time, makes short work of impurities and wipes make-up off your face in one go. Scrubbing with cotton pads or cleaning cloths is no longer necessary. There is a wide choice of facial brushes:what should you pay attention to when purchasing?

Roughly five years ago, no one knew about the electric facial brush in the Netherlands. Since that time, however, the brush has been on the rise. Many women are enthusiastic about the results that such a brush produces. There are many enthusiastic videos on YouTube.

Many choice of facial brushes The electric facial brush is available in many sizes, colors and price ranges. For starters, you have the expensive brushes from the Clarisonic brand. If we are to believe the reviews, these work excellently, but are quite expensive. Another well-known brush is the Visapure from Philips. This brush is also quite expensive and the reviews are generally okay, although there are also people who are less satisfied and expected better results from an expensive brush.

However, as is often shown in consumer magazines and programs, you do not always have to choose the most expensive one to get the best results. The cheaper brushes on the market work just as well and according to some reviews even better than the more expensive variants. Of course, personal taste continues to play a role, so if you really love the design of an expensive brush, you can't avoid purchasing this one. But if you go purely for the functional aspect - namely cleaning your face better than you do now - then a cheaper brush is an ideal solution.

Cheap Electric Facial Brush
Silk'n is a well-known brand in the beauty industry and this brand has different types of affordable electric facial brushes. The newest brush is the Silk'n Pure and the other variants they have are, for example, the Silk'n SonicClean and Silk'n SonicCleanPlus. On the packaging of the cheap electric facial brush Silk'n Pure we can read that the brush removes impurities in a minute, removes make-up up to six times better than by hand and leaves your skin radiant and soft. The brush has a vibrating and pulsating mode in two speeds. And after one charge, the brush can be used up to 50 times. With the Philips Visapure, for example, this is only 30 times, so there is already a big difference. At the time of writing, the Silk'n Pure is for sale in the Silk'n webshop for €39. One of the reactions:'Nice device! Stimulates to clean my face every night. It's great that it switches off automatically after a minute, so you don't use it for too long. My skin feels wonderfully soft after using it and seems to have improved! It is also handy that it is waterproof.'

Remove makeup
If you wear a lot of make-up, we recommend that you do not use the brush directly for make-up removal. It is not suitable for eye makeup anyway. Running a quick spinning brush over your eyes isn't such a good idea. Therefore, first remove the heaviest make-up with a cloth or cotton pad and then use the brush. In addition, the following applies to the brush heads:the cleaner you keep them, the better this is for your skin. Just like a toothbrush, you want to keep it as clean as possible. Not all facial brushes indicate how much more makeup residue can be removed compared to cleaning the face by hand. Be aware of this, because that could mean that the brand hasn't had any research done on this and it may be less efficient than you hope. That would be a shame, because after all you buy a facial brush because you want to clean your face better.

Cheap brush heads versus expensive
Another tip we can give you is to take a look at how expensive the accessories of an electric facial brush are, such as the brush heads. Some brush heads are quite pricey and on average you need a new brush head every three months. So that can get in the way. We were positively surprised by the price of the Silk'n brush heads, they are available in different variants from €6.95.

Sensitive skin
If you have sensitive skin, you may not want to use the brush every day. It is then better to use the brush once or twice a week, so that your skin gets a mild deep cleaning. Because the brush cleans very well, it could be just a bit too intensive for sensitive skin. There are special brush heads for sale that have soft bristles. When choosing an electric facial brush, you can therefore pay attention to whether the brand has these brushes in its range or not.
