5 x the most common beauty mistakes

5 x the most common beauty mistakes

You want to look well-groomed, so you do your best with all kinds of creams, lotions and cosmetics. But even if you do your best, sometimes it can't go completely without you realizing it. These are the 5 most common beauty mistakes.

1. Conditioner all over your hair

Conditioner is not a shampoo, so you should not use your conditioner all over your hair. It is precisely the ends of your hair that need extra care. The hair at the root is the healthiest part of the hair because it is 'new'. So only apply conditioner to the ends of your hair. If you also apply the conditioner close to the hair root, there is a good chance that your hair will look limp and greasy.

2. Spraying perfume after getting dressed

You may think you will keep your perfume working longer if you spray it over your clothes, but nothing could be further from the truth. The fabric of your clothes can cause your perfume to smell unpleasant. Moreover, perfume can stain your clothes.

It is better to apply perfume if you have not yet put on your clothes, because perfume reacts to the heat of your body.

3. Sitting close to a mirror while plucking your eyebrows

Sitting/standing close to a mirror while plucking your eyebrows is very nice, but it is better not to sit close to such a mirror all the time during a plucking session. If you are continuously focused on the smallest or thinnest hair, you lose sight of the overall picture:how it goes with the shape of your eyebrow. Of course you don't want to have uneven eyebrows.

So take a step away from the mirror every now and then to check the shape of your eyebrows.

4. Don't forget your neck!

The skin on your neck is often forgotten. While this place can be very sensitive. The skin on your neck is thinner and more sensitive than the skin on your face. Changes in pigment, elasticity, texture and wrinkles can also occur in your neck.

So when you apply your day, night or sunscreen, don't forget to rub your neck too!

5. Use day cream to reduce puffy eyes

Do you suffer from swollen skin around your eyes? Do not apply day cream in this area. A day cream has a moisturizing effect, so putting it on the swollen skin of your eyes can make your eyes look even thicker.

It is better to use a cooled compress to reduce the swelling. Place spoons in the freezer for ten minutes and place them on the swellings. You can also use an eye gel that contains caffeine. If the skin around your eyes remains red and irritated, it is wise to contact your doctor who can refer you to a dermatologist.
