Make your skin holiday-proof

Make your skin holiday-proof

Smooth, healthy and radiant skin for the holidays? Yes, please! Good preparation is half the battle – even when it comes to taking care of your skin. With these four tips you can transform your skin into the best version of itself in two weeks.

1. Vitamins on the menu

Your skin tells you what you put in your mouth every day. Would you like a healthy glow for Christmas? Then it is smart to take a critical look at your daily menu. Too much sugar and saturated fats can give you a gray complexion and also promote blemished skin. Dairy products can also cause pimples if you are sensitive to them. In the period before Christmas, mainly put vegetables, fruit and unsaturated fats (oily fish, avocados, nuts) on the menu and your skin will thank you.

2. Exfoliate your skin smooth

Dead skin cells cause a dull, gray complexion. You deal with it by regularly exfoliating. In December, opt for a liquid exfoliant, which you apply under your day cream three to four times a week. An exfoliant improves skin texture, is restorative and gives your complexion a boost † Moreover, a liquid exfoliant does not damage your skin – a risk you run by scrubbing (too fanatically) with abrasive granules.

3. Vitamin C makes you shine

Vitamin C is an all-rounder:this antioxidant makes the skin more even, gives a fresh complexion and has strong anti-aging properties. Add vitamin C to your skincare routine as a cure from now on to welcome more radiant skin around December 24th. Our favourite:DOCTOR BABOR Pro Vitamin C Concentrate.

4. Hands at home

The more you touch your skin, the more bacteria you spread across your face. Not to mention popping pimples (which nine times out of ten produces an even bigger pimple… frustrating!). Is smooth skin all you want for Christmas? Then you prefer to sit on your hands for two weeks. Figuratively then.
