9 tips to be more economical with your beauty products

Hoarding often means your favorite beauty products are sold out. This is how you use up your care products down to the last drop.

1. Cut open tubes

You can easily cut open plastic tubes. If you think the tube is empty, you'll be surprised how much comes out after you cut it open. You can transfer the product into a small jar. Handy to take with you if you travel with hand luggage only.

2. Apply foundation with your fingers

Some of the foundation is absorbed by the sponge you use it with. So you apply foundation with your fingers a lot more economically.

3. Mix your foundation with day cream

This is a great tip for when you need a little less coverage. In addition, if your foundation is almost used up, you can spray a little day cream in your foundation tube. Make sure it mixes well and you can still go for it with your diluted foundation.

4. Give your fake eyelashes a second life

With an old cleaned mascara brush you can brush glue residue from your fake eyelashes. After that they look like new and you can use them again.

5. Soak your mascara in warm water

If no more mascara gets on your brush, it could be that all the mascara is stuck to the edge. By soaking the sleeve in warm water, your mascara will last a while.

6. You need less shampoo than you think

To clean your hair, you really only need a small drop of shampoo. Start with little shampoo, you can always grab some extra.

7. Make a broken powder whole again

Your eyeshadow slips out of your hands and you see it happen… It's broken into hundreds of pieces and seems beyond saving. Or is it? You can try with alcohol from the drugstore. Crumble the eyeshadow or powder as much as possible (you can't ruin anything anyway) and add some alcohol. Mix it into a paste and press the powder back firmly into the catch.

8. Fix a broken lipstick

With a lighter you can fuse the broken piece of lipstick to the rest.

9. Use the last bit of lipstick

With a small brush you can apply your lipstick to the bottom. You can also apply your lipstick with a brush as standard, which makes the lipstick more economical.
