Why apple cider vinegar?

Apple cider vinegar is not only said to be good for your health – it can have a positive effect on your blood sugar and blood pressure – but it can also have its benefits as a beauty product. For example, it is also very good for your hair! Apple cider vinegar has antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory qualities, making it often used as a DIY treatment for skin problems such as acne, dandruff and sunburn. It is also acidic, so you can use it as a mild exfoliant. In addition, it helps to slightly decrease the natural oils in your skin, making your pores less visible. That's why it often appears in homemade toner recipes!

An apple cider vinegar bath

If you suffer from sensitive and irritated skin, for example when you are burned or if you have insect bites, apple cider vinegar can be a welcome solution. The most beautiful? You do not need bottles of apple cider vinegar for a positive effect. Apple cider vinegar is very acidic, so you should not use too much of it. After all, you don't want to irritate your irritated skin any more, right? You only need 235 milliliters of vinegar in a full bath to notice the positive effect. A 30-minute bath with a dash of apple cider vinegar ensures that you will soon leave the bath with much softer and less irritated skin. Worth a try, don't you think? Do you really have very sensitive skin? Then err on the side of caution and seek advice from a skin specialist or dermatologist before trying out DIY remedies.
