How do you get hair dye off your skin?

Now that the hairdressers are closed, we have to paint ourselves again, there is a good chance that you will end up with leftovers of paint on your skin. How do you get those pesky hair dye stains off your skin?

1. Be aware of the risks

Usually paint on your skin is just annoying, but some people can have an allergic reaction. It is recommended that you do an allergy test before dyeing your hair.

2. Prepare your skin

Your skin is most likely to come into contact with the paint in a number of places:think of your hairline, on your neck and behind your ears. Put a layer of Vaseline on the skin in those places. In this way it is easier to wipe off the paint residue afterwards. Don't have Vaseline at home? Then you can also use a thick conditioner.

3. Remove spilled paint from your skin as soon as possible

The faster you clean your skin, the easier it will be. You can use water and a bar of soap. If it doesn't work, you may want to switch to something more aggressive, such as an alcohol-based cleanser. Alcohol dries out your skin, so be careful with it.

4. Take care of your skin

After all the cleansing violence, your skin could use some care.

5. Don't panic if you don't get the paint off your skin completely

Paint on your skin doesn't last as long as paint on your hair. Your skin renews itself, so after a week it will definitely be gone.
