There are two types of blackheads

There are two types of blackheads:closed and open blackheads. You can recognize the latter by the black dot. They lie on the surface of the skin, exposing them to oxygen and turning them black. The black is therefore not dirty, as is sometimes thought.

Closed blackheads lie deeper in the skin and are therefore more difficult to remove than the open version. You can recognize these blackheads by a white tip and can become inflamed more easily and thus develop into a pimple.
