The right temperature for a bath

There is no ideal temperature for your bath water, as it mainly depends on your personal preference and the purpose of your bath. For most people, a comfortable temperature is 38 degrees Celsius.

For a bath in which you want to be optimally clean, it is best to take a bath of 44 degrees Celsius or lower, because that is the best temperature to rinse away dirt and bacteria. Do you want to hydrate your skin well or prevent it from drying out? Then take a bath that is slightly less hot, so you can protect your skin against irritation, especially if you already have dry and/or sensitive skin. Want to take a bath so you can sleep better afterwards? Then make sure that the water is approximately equal to your body temperature, between 34 and 37 degrees Celsius. Even when it comes to the perfect time for a bath, there is no single answer. It seems that we especially like to take a bath in the evening, or early in the morning.
