Breakfasts that make your skin glow

Breakfasts that make your skin glow

You cleanse, exfoliate and lubricate – but do you also nourish your skin from within? With these breakfasts you let your skin shine.

Waterbomb salad

Water is important for soft and supple skin. With a healthy moisture balance, waste products can also be properly discharged, which in turn does wonders for your complexion and helps against pimples and irregularities. A fruit salad of these water bombs is therefore a great start to your day:a mixture of strawberry, pineapple, peach, pear, apple and watermelon is colourful, tasty and moisturizing!

An egg belongs to it

Hard-boiled, soft-boiled, an omelet or rather a scrambled egg, an egg should not be missing from your breakfast for radiant skin! Eggs contain no less than ten different vitamins and nutrients. Such as selenium, which protects cells from damage and keeps your skin looking young. The proteins in eggs are also indispensable for healthy skin, they ensure that your cells remain elastic and recover better if, for example, you have been slightly burned in the sun.

Grapefruit

Pink grapefruit contains lycopene, a substance that according to researchers is ten times more powerful antioxidant than vitamin E. Lycopene prevents burning and aging and thus keeps your skin tight and radiant for longer. A grapefruit breakfast can be done in different ways:put the grapefruit in your fruit salad, a bowl of cottage cheese or yogurt, eat it simply or drink it squeezed as juice. With a few fresh oranges you also immediately get a good dose of vitamin C, which in turn helps the production of collagen.

Yogurt with berries

Yogurt contains many substances that make your skin shine:proteins, vitamin A and vitamin E. It also contains lactic acid, which has a degreasing and moisturizing effect and loosens your dead skin cells. Result:a soft and supple skin with a fresh look. The enzymes in yogurt also kill bacteria, making pimples less likely. Stir a few handfuls of blueberries into your yogurt. Not only because it tastes good, but also because they contain more antioxidants than any other type of fruit.

Cracker-vitamin-boost

Carbohydrates really aren't always the enemy. For example, a whole-wheat cracker contains selenium, a fiber that helps reduce and prevent sun damage (UV rays are still the number one cause of skin aging!). Top your cracker with salmon or avocado and give your skin a boost! Avocado is packed with vitamin A, which helps to purify your skin and get rid of dead skin cells. The amino acids in the fruit also offer you extra protection against aggressive environmental factors. And then there are the antioxidants, which help prevent skin aging. So triple good!

Salmon contains a lot of omega-3, a substance that you desperately need but your body does not make itself. Omega fatty acids make your skin strong and resilient. As you get older, your glands produce less fat, making your skin drier, less elastic and therefore more wrinkly. Omega-3 ensures that your skin remains nourished.

This makes your skin happy too

Almonds

Vitamin E, omega-3, omega-6, proteins:almonds are full of good nutrients for your body and your skin. They give you a healthy glow!

Green tea

Protects your skin against the sun and free radicals and counteracts wrinkles, sagging corners of the mouth and hamster cheeks.
