Dutch women over 35 are not averse to cosmetic surgery

Cosmetic surgery is in the spotlight. But what does the Dutch 35 + woman think about this? 'Do we or don't we do it?' Nouveau asked this question, and the result is surprising:50% of women who have had something done to her face have already had an eyelid correction done.

Some figures:
* The vast majority of women (80%) mainly want to keep looking good, not necessarily look younger.
* Of women over 35 years old, 39% think there is nothing wrong is with cosmetic treatments, as long as the result looks natural; 19% even thinks that the result should be completely invisible.
* No less than 50% of the women who have had something done to her face have had an eyelid correction done.
* 39% think the application of botox, fillers, peeling, laser treatments, eyelid correction or even a general facelift are fine, as long as the result looks natural.
* For 18%, using botox is just as obvious as dyeing or epilating hair.

Yet the Dutch woman is not candid about her treatment. Some women even leave the partner in the dark. The eyelid correction is usually the most negotiable. That seems to have something to do with its medical aspect:drooping eyelids can obstruct vision and cause headaches. The procedure is also – in principle – one-time, unlike injectables. Dutch women are not yet enthusiastic about cosmetic surgery. Nearly a third of women are in favor of minor procedures, but a facelift or other 'cutting' is a step too far, especially if friends (4%) would disapprove of it or label it as fake. Remarkable:more than 60% of women over 50 clearly have no need for surgical procedures.
Only a meager 3% of the respondents would miss the holiday to visit the plastic surgeon.
