Beauty tips for when you overslept

We've all had those days when we hit snooze on our iPhone and accidentally turn it off or sleep through it. So, what do you do when you overslept and have little time for your regular beauty routine? From skincare to makeup to a quick and easy haircut, we've got some tips here.

Skip the traditional facial cleansers
Unfortunately, there is simply no time to complete your normal skincare routine when you need to get out of the house in a hurry. Going through the process of applying a facial cleanser, massaging it onto your skin, and then rinsing it off is probably more time consuming than you can afford. Fortunately, handy cleaning wipes exist, so make sure you always have them on hand just in case.

Use a colored moisturizer or BB cream While on a typical day you won't want to skip the hydrating step of your routine, using a tinted moisturizer or BB cream is the perfect quick fix for days when you're short on time. These products moisturize your skin and also provide you with fast coverage.

Put mascara on While you may not have time for a full makeup look, no look is complete without mascara. And since you won't be putting full makeup on your face, opt for a mascara that emphasizes your lashes but still makes them look natural. Apply a few coats.

Moisturize your lips
To complete your quick makeup routine, grab a tinted lip balm to moisturize your lips while adding color.

Get a dry shampoo
Once your makeup is done, all you need to do is style your locks. Since you don't have time to jump in the shower, dry shampoo will be your best friend. Spray into the roots and through your hair as needed for instant freshness.

Style your hair
Use a hairspray to create a quick, messy style. Apply by lightly spritzing through towel-dried hair, concentrating on your roots for maximum lift. Style as usual and then complete the look with an accessory such as a hat, headband or hair clip.
