Body Yogurt from the Body Shop, for a quick morning or evening ritual

Body Yogurt is a new product from the Body Shop. Preferably, you apply it to the still damp skin for hydration for up to 48 hours. The big advantage of Body Yogurt is that it absorbs within 15 seconds and does not leave a sticky feeling.

Body Yogurt for a quick morning or evening ritual

body yogurt? What is that again, I thought when I first saw the press release. With the Body Shop's Body Butters in mind, I started testing this new formula and was totally blown away. Quite frankly… the Body Butters have immediately dropped off my list of priorities now that I have the Body Yogurt on the shelf. YEAH, what progress!

I don't know what your morning and evening ritual looks like, but I do know that my morning ritual is always rushed. In the morning because two children have to go to school, a dog is beeping at the door and my inner devil calls me to work. And in the evening because – again – I made it much too late.

You can already feel it coming… rubbing a Body Butter on my freshly showered legs is not an option. It all takes way too long before it sets in and I can completely forget to put on those jeans. It doesn't go beyond my lower leg because it all feels so sticky.

And that is exactly why the Body Yogurt from the Body Shop makes me so happy. It absorbs very quickly and does not feel greasy. Shower, grease and dress. Whoops!

The Body Shop sent me two fragrances, the British Rose and the Almond.

Which Body Yogurt variants are there?

The Body Shop has produced Body Yogurt for a number of fragrance lines.

  1. British Rose, a rose fragrance; enriched with rose extract from England
  2. Almond; with the sweet and nutty scent of almonds
  3. Mango; with the fruity, tropical scent of mangoes
  4. Strawberry; with the scent of sweet, juicy strawberries
  5. Moringa, a floral fragrance; enriched with moringa extract from Rwanda

There was also a limited edition of the Banana fragrance, but it is currently no longer available

available. It's a shame, because that's my favorite scent since I tested the Banana hair products.

I also really like the Almond scent. The advantage is, whichever scent you pick up, they are all subtle.

Body Yogurt from the Body Shop, a new formula

This new formula from the Body Shop, the Body Yogurt, absorbs in 15 seconds and then moisturizes for up to 48 hours. The Yogurt has a gel-cream texture that is immediately absorbed and intensely hydrates without leaving a layer. Perfect for the working mother who has to get back to work immediately.

It is recommended to smear the Body Yogurt on damp skin immediately after showering. The hyaluronic acid and glycerine trap moisture and keep the skin hydrated.

What's in the Body Yogurt?

For starters, the Body Yogurt is 100% vegan and all variants contain Community Trade organic almond milk from Spain. In addition, the product is dermatologically tested and suitable for sensitive skin. Body Yogurt does not contain paraffin and mineral oils.

Other ingredients (Almond version):

Aqua, Glycerin, Alcohol Denat., Dimethicone, Butylene Glycol, Parfum, Phenoxyethanol, Carbomer, PEG-100 Stearate, Glyceryl Stearate, Butyrospermum Parkii Butter, Dimethiconol, Caprylyl Glycol, Sodium Hydroxide, Sodium Hyaluronate, Xrunus Seegdalus Extract, Dulanthan , Citric Acid, Dehydroacetic Acid.

Now I'm not a huge beauty babe myself, but these days I try to pay more attention and look at the actual ingredients that are in the products. As far as I can find them of course. Fortunately, the Body Shop is never that difficult, they throw everything 'out in the open'.

The ingredient list itself doesn't tell me much. What I do know is that you should try to avoid alcohol in general. It's a shame that one of the first ingredients mentioned is Alcohol Denat. Undoubtedly the 'drying effect of alcohol' is more than made up for by the other ingredients and for me this is no reason not to use the Body Yogurt. But it might be good for you to know.

Is the Body Yogurt recommended?

As far as I'm concerned, this new formula is a huge step ahead of the Body Butter. Of course, the latter is also a wonderful product, but I only use it when I put on my bathrobe afterwards, for example. In all other cases I really like the Body Yogurt much better.
