Indispensable! Mini toiletries for the holidays!

Taking a holiday is also a profession. I don't know about you, but before and after the trip, vacation feels like a lot of hard work. You must book in advance. And washed, because I like to see mountains on vacation, but not on the laundry basket. Also, a passport or ID always expires, so we go to the municipality. The dog must either go to the boarding house or to the vet for the mandatory vaccinations. And let's hope I don't get sick myself, because I really don't have time for that just before the holidays. Maybe next year we should start preparing on time. Do you also suffer from holiday stress? We have listed the best departure tips for you. A sneak peek of the veil? Go for mini toiletries, save a lot of kilos.

And this gives you more space in your suitcase to take nice gifts with you that you bought for friends and family on vacation 😉 .

Holiday stress:ready for a holiday

As if the worries of the past year weren't heavy enough… At the end of spring, I'm always ready for the summer holidays. But secretly there is still a lot to do before you can leave. And just now that you need your time so badly, the kids don't have to go to school anymore. Who made that up?

Hopefully, our departure tips will reduce that holiday stress a bit. That is, if you have time to go through them during this busy period 😉 .

Book on time

Booking that long-awaited vacation seems to be the number one stressor. And I thought that everyone was always ready on time, and I was the only one who hadn't recorded anything yet 😉 . Just read Serina's blog, who also has her hands in her hair when it comes to booking a holiday. It takes some discipline (for me anyway) but booking on time can really save a lot of stress. After all, once the destination has been determined, you know where you stand and you can take concrete steps.

Create a packing list

Is the destination known? Nice! Then you know what to do with it (and especially:what not). You can already start preparing your hot pants or snow boots. In order not to forget anything, it is smart to keep a holiday checklist now. On your smartphone, for example, which you probably always have at hand. There are also special packing apps so that you don't forget anything. And wherever you go; you can write down these things.

  • Passport/ID card
  • Debit/Credit card
  • Airplane ticket
  • Registration Certificate
  • Driving license
  • Phone
  • Mini toiletries

Arrange as much as possible in advance

It seems a bit premature if you are not allowed to go on holiday for the time being… But you can really start arranging now. Do you immediately have a lot of fun 😉 . Are you going to fly? Then check in in advance. If you go by car, make sure it is ready for departure as much as possible. Check on the internet what you should think about with your final destination. Such as the mandatory alcohol tests when you go to France, for example, and safety vests for breakdowns.

Mini toiletries in a mini suitcase

Another important tip:pack as small as possible. Whether you travel by plane or have to put all your luggage in the trunk, the following applies to your suitcase:the lighter the better. You carry every kilo with you, and secretly a lot of clothes come home unworn but still dirty. Recognizable?

With a smaller suitcase you are forced to take less, and you will see that you will not be short of anything. Not sure how best to pack? Check out this suitcase packing lifehack.

With small packs you should of course not forget your mini toiletries. At Douglas they have released a wonderful new line of mini toiletries, perfect for your suitcase. If there's one thing I hate, it's having to make a selection of my care products before the holidays. Especially at the campsite I need my personal drugstore extra badly 😉 . My favorite Douglas products are now also available in small sizes. I do, however, hide them in a secret compartment, because mini-me will probably like those mini toiletries too!
