Summer prints and jumpsuits

Tough and feminine for the self-confident woman who likes to be well-dressed and yet comfortable on the street. That's Geisha. But you probably already knew that 😉 . You may not know that I am completely crazy about summer jumpsuits. I don't wear them every day, but that has more to do with my posture than with any change in taste. I still think they are fantastic, and more comfortable than a summer dress. I myself have a black one with white palm trees in my closet, a white one with pink roses and an orange one with stripes. All equally enjoyable.

Summer jumpsuits

So I came across a number of summer jumpsuits from Geisha, which triggered me to dedicate a blog post to them. I can be very happy with this. They have these Geisha pants in different prints as you can see above, each one even more summery than the other, but each and every one is cutie. Personally, I really like the summery zebra version, but I wouldn't buy it myself because a friend of mine already has a similar jumpsuit. I also find the right variant very cheerful and summery. Combine with an open sandal and a summer hat and you are completely in style with this jumpsuit! In addition, they are also discounted!

Advantages of jumpsuits

I think the biggest advantage is that you don't have to think about how you are going to combine. You're just done in one go. I also think it should be part of your basic wardrobe. Of course you can style your outfit a little further with a nice hat, bag or beautiful pumps and sandals, but top and bottom is a guaranteed match. Super handy. You shoot it and look all day long to get through a ring.

Disadvantage of summer jumpsuits

We all know the downside of these summer jumpsuits. Going to the toilet. Everything has to go down if you just want to go to the toilet and that is of course not always practical. But I really don't think that's the biggest drawback of the jumpsuit. Actually, I think the biggest disadvantage is that they combine long pants with -usually- short sleeves. And that combination is not always technically correct. Do you want short sleeves in warm weather, but do you still want the long pants of the jumpsuit to go with that?

I used to have a summer jumpsuit with shorts on it. Really my all-time favorite piece of clothing, but unfortunately I have outgrown it (of course). Yet I will never forget this one, give me a pen and paper and I can still draw it for you. I don't believe there has ever been another piece of clothing that I felt so good in.

Now I wouldn't choose a jumpsuit with shorts anymore. Something about age etc. But I think it's nice and it makes me happy if Lotte does choose that. Anyway, I have some inspiration below from jumpsuits that you (and I) can make for the day. Not only comfortable, but also mega classy.

Inspiration jumpsuits for this summer

Jumpsuits with a dark color are always possible. Chic and (especially number 1) very comfortable. Number 2 is a bit more difficult due to the length and wide pants, but it does look very stylish.

The jumpsuits above may not be summery like Geisha has, but I think they are mega chic. That lace at the top means that you can also wear it to a very neat dinner or a special party.

Chic and cheerful at the same time…. flowers on your jumpsuit. Or feel free to say… flowers.

If you're looking for a more casual style, the jumpsuits above are also great. Perhaps less summery than the examples above, but very cool to see. I especially like the one on the right with that long cardigan over it and those boots underneath. I have seen that I can add some jumpsuits to my wardrobe!

Combine a jumpsuit with a sandal, slipper or heels

It does not matter which jumpsuit you choose, in fact they can all be combined with different types of shoes and slippers. My preference is to combine the jumpsuit with heels. Wearing a heel makes you look taller. I like that in itself, but the shape of my buttocks also changes when I walk in heels and I think it looks better in a jumpsuit. The latter is probably also because there are many jumpsuits - summer or not - that do not have pockets on the buttocks. Personally, I think it looks a little less attractive, but that's a matter of taste.

Are you a jumpsuit fan and do you choose a summer or rather a winter variant?
