Which dresses suit your body shape?

Almost every woman has a number of dresses in her closet. From casual dresses to business dresses and beach dresses. But do you wear them all or have you made a few bad buys? Figuring out which dress suits your body shape is not always easy. That's why we've got some tips to help you find out which dresses suit your figure best.

1. Pear
Are your hips wider than your shoulders? Very well! That probably means you have a pear shape. What goes well with this? summer dresses that are tight at the top and widen at the bottom because they emphasize your slimmer upper body and the wide bottom is great for accentuating your curves.

2. Inverted triangle
If your shoulders and chest are wider than your hips, wide skirts and pants will suit you as they draw attention to your legs and make your shoulders appear narrower.

3. Rectangle
If your shoulders, waist and hips are about the same size, you have a rectangular figure. Skirts with ruffles, bows or details that stand out look good. By creating extra volume on half of your body, you create the illusion that you have many curves.

4. Apple If you have broad shoulders, a full waist and thinner legs, you have an apple figure. Flowing wide skirts and dresses look good on you.

5. Hourglass If your shoulders and hips are about the same size and you have a smaller, more defined waist, you have an hourglass figure. You have all the dresses and skirts that emphasize your waist. Look for belted dresses, wrap dresses, fitted dresses and peplum styles as they will keep all the attention on your slim waist, round hips and full bust.
