The 10th award ceremony of the Cultuurfonds Mode Stipendium will take place on 15 June. In honor of this anniversary, which also coincides with the 20th anniversary of the Dutch Fashion Foundation, both parties are making a big splash with an online fashion festival, live from Felix Meritis in Amsterdam. The festival consists of a celebration and a symposium, where several international thought leaders will discuss with various speakers from the vanguard of Dutch fashion.
First names announced The first names of the international speakers are:Bethann Hardison (American model and fashion activist), Vanessa Friedman (New York Times fashion editor), Isabel Marant (the Parisian fashion designer in person), Jérôme Dreyfuss ('ethical luxury' accessory designer ), Barbara Franchin (founder ITS – International Talent Support), JOFF (MFA Fashion Design &Society associate professor at Parsons in New York), and Bliss Foster (the most avid fashion analyst on YouTube).
Dutch speakers and panelists include Guus Beumer (Het Nieuwe Instituut), Pascale Gatzen (MA Practice Held in Common ArtEZ), Saskia van Drimmelen (Painted Series) and Margreet Sweerts (Feminist Handwerk Party), Mark van Vorstenbos (Head of Textiles &Fashion KABK) and Twan Janssen (together formerly YOUASME MEASYOU), Oscar Raaijmakers (design teacher AMFI and Rietveld Mode), Lenn Cox (Collective Wandering), Sanne Karssenberg (teacher research and theory HKU), Suzanne Mulder (Studio PMS) and designers Ronald van der Kemp, Bas Kosters, Joris Suk and Tessa de Boer (MAISON the FAUX), Ninamounah Langestraat (Ninamounah), Lieselot Elzinga (Elzinga), Irene Ha and Dylan Westerweel.
The remaining international and national speakers will be announced later this week, as well as the full program starting at 9:00 AM and continuing until 10:00 PM.
