Over-the-knee boots, ankle boots, classics… Which boots should I choose for my body type?

What boots for luscious legs?

You hesitate to wear boots with your skirt, because of badly assumed curves? The boots are however your best allies, when they are well chosen! Enhance your shapes with knee-high boots, with a flared, flexible and stretchy upper. Avoid boots that are too tight, uncomfortable, or mid-calf that cut the figure. If you dream of thigh-high boots, choose them in a dark color, to be worn with tone-on-tone pants. As for the heels, prefer them wide or square, flat or high, even compensated, rather than thin and stiletto.

Which boots for slender legs?

Do you have thin thighs and delicate calves? Follow the instructions! All forms of boots, or almost, are at your fingertips. Just avoid flared boots that gape around the leg or overly thick, disproportionate soles. Choose thigh high boots that emphasize the shape of your legs, low and thin boots, or boots that shape the calves, even "tube":riders or bikers, for example. As for those who consider their legs too slender, even with the boots of their dreams, add very thick opaque tights!

Which boots for knock knees?

If your knees bother you, make way for waders! The complexed magicians cover the leg up to mid-thigh, sublimate the curves and hide the small defects. Beware, all the same, of the clichés of high-heeled thigh-high boots with a mini-dress. Opt for contrast with flat-heeled boots for all occasions:above the knee or mid-thigh, dark in color, wear them with slim pants or a folk, rock or sports mini-dress. The waders do not tempt you? Accompany knee-length skirts, not shorter, with low ankle boots decorated with details. By extending the leg and drawing attention to elaborate ankle boots, the center of attention moves away from the knees.

Which boots for little ones?

To lengthen small legs, avoid at all costs horizontal lines that cut the silhouette. In other words, avoid mid-calf boots with a mini-skirt, and prefer matching tones between the boots and the skirt, the tights or the pants, to avoid contrasts. Instead, choose knee-high boots with a tone-on-tone pencil skirt, black thigh-high boots over black skinny jeans, or low boots with opaque monochrome tights. The extra trick? High heels or wedge boots!

What boots for tall people?

Slender figures can afford everything, from flat boots to wedge thigh-high boots. If you want to break the impression of large size, on the other hand, bet on horizontal games with mid-calf boots and a short skirt, or black ankle boots on bare legs. Do you have a wide foot? Watch out for pointy boots! Prefer round or square toes, such as biker or Camargue boots.
