5 tips for choosing the right party outfit

1/ Forget super tight outfits

We know right away that we're going to stuff ourselves for Christmas (because it's our only cheat-day of the year of course…), so there's no point in wanting to put on a super tight dress or a hyper jumper near the body. Our body will double in size (we're barely exaggerating), so do we really need to inflict discomfort on ourselves for the rest of the evening or day? No.

2/ No heels =no worries!

Why would you want to wear high heels for Christmas? Already we are at the table for 5 hours in a row, so we won't see our pretty legs... And then it can hurt a lot! So we drop it, because if we still want to be in the running for the family stuffing competition, better be comfortable!

3/ We prepare for all possible scenarios

Let's imagine that Kira, our host's cat, has the good idea to scratch his claws not far from our tights (bought during the day), we don't forget plan B:take out our secret boot, the second pair of tights that we bought on the same day! And if our host has a fussy parquet floor, we will have to take off our shoes... so no socks with holes (which we throw away!)

4/ We adapt the outfit to the occasion

Clearly, we avoid confusing Christmas with the family and New Year with friends! The red and green colors are in the spotlight for the first, but we reserve the flattering neckline and the mini-skirt for the second. Ditto for sequined outfits:it's beautiful and nice, but if you want to avoid being the only member of the Kardashian family at the table on December 24, we play the sequins in moderation.

5/ We forget our ugly sweater

And yes, Grandma gave us this work of art last year, so to please her we thought we'd put it on for the evening! Bad idea:the super stylish cousin might be there too and she's going to want to post lots of photos on Instagram. Goodbye glam, hello loose! To avoid this virtual shame, we opt for an outfit that we will be happy to see in photos, even years later.
