It's a disaster, our cashmere sweater, our silk blouse or our favorite jeans has shrunk . It is a few less waistlines and is easily mistaken for children's clothing. A shrunken garment can return to its original shape , provided you scrupulously follow a few tips .

Shrunken garment:wash your garment with conditioner

The conditioner , our saviour! More than a hair care product, this product is also effective in relaxing the fibers of a garment again. To do this, fill a basin with lukewarm water and add two good tablespoons of conditioner. Soak your coin in it for half a day. Then, all you have to do is wring it gently by hand, before stretching it little by little and drying it flat. Tips:this technique also works with baby shampoo.

Shrunken clothing:test the softening method

We love it because it makes our sweaters and linens very soft, softener is also ideal for catching up on a shrunken garment and restoring its softness. Mix in a container of the special softener for wool and delicate knits, with water. Soak your suit all day, rinse, then lay it flat without wringing it.

Multi-purpose product, white vinegar can replace fabric softener, if you don't have any, to recover wool or cashmere clothes. The process is simple:fill a basin half with white vinegar and half with lukewarm water. Immerse your piece for about thirty minutes, during this time do not hesitate to stretch it gently by hand, then rinse with cold water. Use a hanger to let it dry, especially if it's a wool sweater. This technique will allow the fiber to relax even more with the weight of the water. However, be careful of the smell, that's the only negative point!
