Wednesday's beauty question:how to choose a body moisturizer?

I have normal skin
I opt for:a milk or a cream.
The principle. Milk or cream, two formulations exist:moisturizing or nourishing. The first contains a little oil in a lot of water and hydrates by bringing a freshness boost. For the second, it is water in oil; it is therefore richer and suitable for skin that is a little dry or that feels tight at the end of the day. In terms of texture, we remember that milk is more fluid than cream.
Good shopping. Nourishing Creamy Body Lotion, Corine de Farme, €6.90. Moisturizing Body Emulsion, Planter’s, €17.50. Melting Cream Milk for the Body, Laino, €9.50. Atoderm Nourishing Cream, Bioderma, €10.90.

I have (very) dry skin
I opt for:a balm or a dry oil.
The principle. With an epidermis that lacks water (dehydrated), we have two options:provide it with moisturizing agents or prevent the evaporation of water with fatty substances. The balm combines both actions, while the oil prevents water loss. We prefer it dry, to be able to dress directly after application. Whichever texture you choose, you can use it daily, massaging and insisting on the driest areas.
Good shopping. DA Emollient Balm, Topicrem, €13.50. Nourishing Balm, Elancyl, €17. NutriExtra Extraordinary Oil, Vichy, €15.25.

I don't like to moisturize
I opt for:a moisturizer in the shower.
The principle. Like a conditioner, this product is used on clean, wet skin. It takes 30 seconds flat and it does not leave the skin sticky. Inevitably, as it is rinsed off, it is less effective than a leave-in treatment, but for those who are not used to moisturizing on a daily basis, the difference is obvious! Good to know:the oil stays on the skin longer.
Good shopping. Nourishing In-Shower Body Milk, Nivea, €5.95. In-Shower Body Oil, Mixa, €5.85.

I wonder… Surgras shower gels, do they really hydrate?
Packed with fatty substances, these formulas limit water loss without being hydrating. But, combined with a moisturizer after the shower, they boost its effect (we recommend Dermazero Extra-Gentle Surgras Cleansing Cream, Rogé Cavaillès, €7.90).
