1/ Massaging the foot

Time:10 minutes, every day.

Material:a specific cream.

How to use:when applying the cream, we give ourselves a real massage:we grab the skin located at the base of the toes and roll it between the thumb and the index finger. The goal:to allow it to move independently of the bone, which reduces the risk of the appearance of corns. Make circular movements with the big toe to work on its mobility. Next, the fat pad (located under the foot, at the base of the toes) is massaged which, under the weight of the body, tends to be pulled forward. It is put back in its place by pushing it, from the base of the toes towards the heel. Finally, we do not forget the ankle:we make small reels to the right then to the left to relax it.

2/ Stretch the toes

Time:20 seconds per foot, each evening.

Material:fingers.

How to use:In all shoes, especially those with heels, the toes naturally "claw". The solution:stretch them manually to relax them. No risk of getting hurt, even going hard. Do you hear a little "click"? Don't panic, it's just the air that... takes the air.

3/ Clean the furrow of the nail

Time:2 minutes per foot, every day.

Equipment:a toothbrush (electric or manual).

Instructions for use:to obtain a nickel nail contour (=furrow), it must be rid of dead skin. The ideal? A toothbrush (not the one you use for… the teeth), to pass about twenty times over the furrow. The bristles allow it to be gently cleaned, pushing back and removing dead skin. The must, of course, is the electric version:it does the job, in seconds (you just buy an extra head for the toes). We do not use "cuticle cutters" or wooden sticks to push back the skins:they are highly traumatic for the nail. Let the pedicure officiate if needed.

4/ Remove calluses

Time:15 minutes, every other day if you have a lot, otherwise once a week.

Equipment:a basin, water, a coarse-grained ceramic foot grater (especially no pumice stone, too violent) or a foot scrub.

How to use:Soak your feet for ten minutes in a basin of hot water. The goal ? Peel off layers of dead skin for easy removal. Then, gently pass the grater over the calluses. The right gesture:a tender caress. No more, no less, because callosity is a reaction of the skin to an attack. So, if you insist on rubbing, it will reform immediately. If you only have small scales of skin, a gentle exfoliation on damp skin is enough.
