"Keskistri in the bathroom", the campaign to encourage sorting of packaging for cosmetics and hygiene products

Today, sorting has become part of the habits of the French since, according to a study conducted by Ipsos for the Sorting Gesture Observatory in 2014, 87% sort their packaging, even if only 44% do so systematically. However, the packaging of cosmetics and hygiene products is among the least well sorted, whether because we lose the right sorting reflexes in the bathroom, because we do not know what we must sort and how or that the bathroom is considered too small to have several bins.

To inform consumers, Eco-Emballages and the Federation of Beauty Companies (FEBEA) launched this Monday, May 23, 2016 an awareness campaign called "Keskistri (What is sorted, editor's note) in the bathroom ". The concept:five short beauty tutorial videos feature a young woman and her accomplice, Monsieur Papillon, an expert in selective sorting, who review the different products/packaging present in the bathroom and explain how to sort them, all with humour. We learn, for example, that if the plastic bottles of shower gel go in the recycling bin, the mascara goes to the trash. The opportunity to confirm whether we are doing the right things or not.
