Deodorant, antiperspirant or patch:which one is right for me?

Deodorant

It's for me if I sweat a little (and the humidity doesn't bother me) and/or I just want to mask the smell of sweat.

The principle. Its function is to fight against bad odors due to perspiration. Perspiration alone is odorless:it is in contact with bacteria on the surface of the skin that it develops its "perfume". The deodorant formula therefore contains an antibacterial agent which limits the proliferation of these bacteria + a fragrance (more or less powerful depending on the product) which must last all day. And, sometimes, it has other virtues:anti yellow or white spots, moisturizing...

Antiperspirant

It's for me if I sweat a lot and/or play sports.

The principle. Where the deodorant acts on odors, the antiperspirant contains active ingredients that tighten the pores and reduce the flow of perspiration without blocking it (=sweating helps regulate body temperature), and absorbing agents (such as perlite or talc) which avoid humidity. The formula also contains perfume (less than in the deodorants) and antibacterial principles.

The patch

It's for me if I'm obsessed with the halo, I don't want to use any product and/or I wear clothes made of "sensitive materials", which mark.

The principle. It is a piece of fabric with absorbent fibers that is glued inside the garment (some iron-on patches are fixed with an iron), at the junction with the sleeve. The real plus is that there is no product used, which avoids stains, possible irritations and respects the garment (and, if necessary, it can be combined with a deodorant for the perfume). Above all, zero risk of halo. Two problem:impossible to use it if you are in a tank top and it shows if the garment is very light (silk, for example).
