Beauty of the face:this unsavory insect works miracles and can bring your skin back to life

Between stress, pollution, the sun, and skin problems , our face is going through tough times! If you dream of asmooth and luminous complexion , remember to add the silk cocoons to your weekly routine!

Silk cocoon:a well-kept beauty secret

Another wacky gadget out of nowhere you say to yourself… Far from it! Even if these silk cocoons are to be added to the list of products that you would never have imagined to be good for your skin; a bit like snail slime, you will quickly adopt them.
Silk which composes them is a noble and popular material for centuries throughout the world, cultivated from insects, most often, the species of silkworms Bombyx mori .

Silkworms hatch from eggs and continue to evolve into caterpillars before finally becoming butterflies. The larvae then spin cocoons composed of strands of silk and saliva, full of nutrients from digested mulberry leaves.

A natural exfoliant with multiple virtues

Thanks to this totally natural product and suitable for sensitive skin , forget exfoliating cosmetics that can be too abrasive or powerful for the fragile skin of your face.
The mulberry silk cocoon purifies without attacking by eliminating impurities and dead cells. Its composition, close to the skin's proteins, gently cleanses, exfoliates, moisturizes and nourishes.
If the silk cocoon works miracles on the skin, it's thanks to the proteins that make it up:the silk fiber and silk protein . The first, fibroin, offers very great exfoliating qualities but remains gentle because it is extremely fine. As for sericin, rich in amino acids and natural antioxidants, it has anti-wrinkle and anti-aging benefits, and improves the elasticity and hydration of the skin. Far from stopping there, it promotes the production of collagen and protects the skin barrier, effectively firming the skin of the face.

The Sleeping Club brand offers these little gems at a price of €20 for 25 cocoons.

How to use silk cocoons for radiant skin?

The cocoons are hollowed out and open on one side, large enough to hold on a fingertip; like the extension of your index finger.
Before use, soak the cocoon in lukewarm water for 1-2 minutes to soften its texture.
After cleaning of your face, moisten your skin and place the cocoon on your fingertip, then make small circular movements on the areas to be exfoliated, emphasizing the T zone of the face. Rinse with cool water.
Their shape allows you to easily reach the wings of the nose, which are often saturated with impurities. Pass these cocoons over your mouth to give it a particularly effective exfoliation, resulting in very soft lips.

Without chemicals, easy to handle and terribly effective, you won't be able to do without this silk cocoon in your exfoliating ritual.
