Wednesday's beauty question:why do I have an itchy scalp?

Why does it scratch? Stress, pollution, brushings, perms, colorings and temperature variations damage the hydrolipidic film, the "protective barrier" of the scalp. Result:it's dry, you feel a warming sensation and it's graaaaatte!

What do I do ? We opt for a mild shampoo with a neutral pH. We avoid washing our hair every day (unless it is irrepressible…) just to give our scalp a vacation. We massage delicately with the pulp of the fingers, not with the nails. If we are used to using a conditioner or making a mask, we also choose them soft and with a neutral pH (but as we only put them on the lengths, there should be no worries). Ditto for styling products. During the day, if necessary, you can use a calming spray.

What if it doesn't? There are several pathologies that require specific treatment, such as dandruff, dermatosis or psoriasis. So, if it's still itchy despite the mild shampoo (and care), we go to the dermatologist.
