Succeed in your blonde coloring when you are brunette

Switching to strawberry blond:the diagnosis

Not all brunettes can have strawberry blonde hair. This is partly a matter of skin tone. Take a good look in the mirror:if you have a rosy complexion and light eyes, no problem, you can go for strawberry blond. On the other hand, if you have skin that tans easily and therefore an often golden complexion, opt for a Californian blond instead. Light and very light complexions can even dare Marilyn's platinum, or even polar blond. On the other hand, if you are a real brunette, with very black hair and matte or dark skin, we do not recommend blond:the result could be catastrophic. Better to lighten your hair with a scan, a shaded or a tie and dye. In any case, entrust this delicate transformation to a hair colorist, who will be able to take care of it better than you (hopefully!). A professional will perform a second diagnosis, and confirm that your hair is strong enough to withstand the different stages. And if you want to see the result before you start, feel free to use our makeover tool!

Switching to strawberry blonde:the different stages

When you have dark hair and want to switch to strawberry blonde, you have to subject your hair to several treatments. First, a discoloration, or even two. There, the hair turns yellow or orange. It is therefore necessary to color the discolored hair, a step that dries out the hair. Then remember to pamper them with suitable shampoos and conditioners, and moisturizing masks once or twice a week. You can also apply oils to your ends, ideally allowing them to penetrate overnight to deeply nourish the hair. Finally, being blonde requires maintenance:every month, head to the hairdresser to touch up the roots and avoid the inelegant black-blonde demarcation. Note that when you are brown, you can go to dark blond without discoloration. Admittedly, it's not Cameron Diaz's blond, but for starters, it can be a less radical and aggressive option!
