How to style curly hair?

A beautiful cascade of curls, it's magnificent! Naturally, the curl is synonymous with volume and, above all, it is not the same from one day to the next. Perfect when you want to change your look regularly. Difficult to tame? Nay! As long as you take care of it from the wash, you get beautiful curls when you dry it, without having to take hairdressing lessons.

Beautiful hair reflexes

• When washing, we systematize the care:we opt for a special shampoo for curls (moisturizing and/or anti-frizz), which we always follow with a detangler, otherwise we end up with a texture that is difficult to style. Once or twice a week, leave on a nourishing mask for five to ten minutes.

• To avoid knots, apply the shampoo from the top of the head to the nape of the neck, without going up. Ditto for the conditioner and the mask, which are distributed using a wide-toothed comb.

• For well-defined curls, choose a mousse (natural effect) or a gel (sophisticated finish and better hold):apply a small amount of product from the ends to the roots, then comb to distribute and scrunch the locks with your fingers . Leave to dry in the open air or with a diffuser on the hair dryer (avoid direct contact with air, which breaks the curl). And if we prefer the curling iron? We use two, of different diameter, for a natural look (not all curls are the same size). And we protect the hair with a thermo-protective spray.

• If, on the contrary, you want to relax the curls, dry the hair completely by combing it with a flat brush and finish with a straightening iron (use a heat-protective spray).

The anti-bad hair day gesture. To "puff up" crushed curls, moisten the area with a thermal water spray and let it air dry. The loop reforms itself.
