Inverse Hair, the hairdressing tool that works thanks to the cold

The Inverse Hair is a tool with cold colors, imagined by a New Zealand couple, the Roe spouses. And if it looks like a styler or a curling iron, observing it carefully, we quickly notice that it has neither a power cable nor an on/off button. But what is this high-tech novelty for hair? Well, this is the first styler that works thanks to the cold. How it works ? First, we put the inner structure of the Inverse Hair in the freezer for a few hours. To use it, put it back in its white case. Unlike traditional straighteners, the Inverse only works on damp hair. So after washing them, we style them and we apply the brand's spray, Ice Mist Hair Spritzer, to our hair, and we do our brushing or our curls in the usual way, strand by strand.

The beneficial effect of cold

Despite its deceptive appearance, the Inverse is actually a thermo-active product… except instead of using heat, it uses cold to provide movement while healing damaged manes. Indeed, the freezing temperature of the device helps to preserve the hydration of the hair. Misused (i.e. without protection), heating devices can weaken the hair fiber. There, the opposite happens:the hair fiber is restored, revitalized, cared for. The hair becomes easier to work with, holds better… And all that naturally!

After only 30 days of use, the brand promises healthier, shinier and healthier hair. Enough to make us want to try… And according to the opinions we have read on the net, the users who have been able to try it exclusively seem delighted, selling hair with less frizz but above all softer and stronger . For the moment, the Inverse Hair is only marketed in New Zealand and Australia where it can be purchased for the modest sum of… 299 AUS$ (about 200 €)! Without the Ice Mist lotion sold separately at AUS$39.95 (€26)! Indeed, this price has something to chill us (oh, oh, oh!), but we suspect that if the innovation is as brilliant as it looks, it should inspire styler manufacturers around the world... To be continued.
