Dove inspires women to love their hair [Video]

Admittedly, when it comes to talking about women to women, Dove knows how to do it. The brand has indeed given itself the mission of boosting the self-esteem of women. We remember two videos that went viral:the one with an FBI portrait artist who drew women according to their description and then according to that of a third person (of course, the gap between their vision of themselves and reality was enormous ) and the one on a beauty patch supposed to give them confidence (it was actually a placebo). This time, Dove tackles a major problem for many women:their hair.

Hair, target of criticism

Too thin, too curly, too white, too dull... Few women are satisfied with their hair, even though this same hair is often the envy of those around them. Worse:the brand reveals that 7 out of 10 women do not dare to style their hair as they wish for fear of the outside gaze. They testify in this video entitled “My hair my way”. Nadia, who has beautiful curly hair, says "She said to me:You have a huge mane, you really have to do something", Sable confesses "I grew up thinking that I could never be blonde because that it's just impossible for an Asian", Aster regrets "I am criticized for straightening my hair, as if that meant that I do not assume who I am" and Leecie, with gray hair, says that a friend told her that if she got her color back, she would be "prettier".

Loving your hair is possible!

The rest of the video? The response of these women to the criticisms leveled at their hair:gray hair is very pretty, curly hair is completely professional... "Every woman should be able to have the hair she wants", this is the message that Dove wishes to convey, which invites women to post photos of themselves with their hair as they like it on social networks, tagging them with the hashtag #MyHairMyStyle.
