Stop shampoos:what if I tried the "no-poo"?

No more shampoo, focus on “no-poo”

This is THE big trend of the last few months. All the bloggers are getting into it and encouraging their readers to try this revolutionary method. But what is “no-poo”? It is simply a question of banishing your shampoo from the bathroom! No more washing that foams, make way for a new hair routine. It was the American Jacquelyn Byers who launched this new fashion. But then, how to keep a clean and luminous hair? The "no-poo" consists of replacing your classic cleansing care with a softer and more natural mixture. For example, you can mix 2 tablespoons of baking soda with just a little water. Baking soda removes dirt. Massage well and rinse with a little white vinegar to add shine. Some no-poo enthusiasts don't wash their hair for a month! Before getting there, you can already start by spacing out your shampoos for a few days. Remember that it is also important to brush your lengths well to distribute the sebum.

After the “no-poo” madness, the “co-wash”

The "co-wash" is a derivative of the "no-poo" method. It's about replacing shampoo with conditioner. Often used by women with frizzy or very curly hair, today it appeals to all manes. The exclusive use of the conditioner effectively makes it possible to wash gently, without attacking the hair fiber. The hair is hydrated and easy to comb. Be careful though:this method is not suitable for all hair types! It is interesting for those who have pretty curls and thick hair. For those with fine, dry hair, this shampoo-free solution may also be ideal. It is also possible to alternate "co-wash" and classic shampoo.

No more shampoo with the "water only" method

As its name suggests, this radical method is an extreme version of “no-poo”. No need for product or ingredient, just water to wash your hair. But be careful, it is not enough to put your head under water to have clean hair! You must first brush your hair well to distribute the sebum. Then, you must pass all of your hair under lukewarm water and rub. A small massage of a few minutes of the scalp is then necessary. Afterwards, just rinse with cold water. This method is particularly effective for spacing out your shampoos.

The "low-poo", a new way to use your shampoo

For those who want to change their hair routine gently, the "low-poo" is an excellent alternative. With this method less radical than the "no-poo", you do not need to banish your shampoo. It is enough to use it less often, at most once a week. It must be sweet, natural and preferably organic. We therefore throw away products based on sulphate, paraben and sodium! You will easily find brands in pharmacies that offer non-aggressive treatments.
