Science:Cold water doesn't make hair shinier

With each shampoo, it's the same ritual:we take our courage with both hands and we finish by rinsing our hair with a jet of cold water. A painful but effective ritual that strengthens our hair and makes it shinier. Well...it's believed! Scientists from TRI Princeton, an independent research organization located in New Jersey, have just proved the opposite:they have discovered that cold water has no particular benefit on the hair. A study relayed by Elle Australia .

Hot water has more benefits

To come to such a conclusion, they tested two different temperatures when rinsing:36 and 18 degrees. Their research showed that cold water was not as effective as hot water in cleaning remaining dirt from the scalp. Even more surprising:hot water is said to make hair shinier! These benefits should be put into perspective, since the study shows that the overall quality of the hair is also influenced by the choice of shampoo and daily hair care.

Those who dreaded the cold water jet ritual can now blow!
