Take care of your eyes

The look is often the source of many ailments:dark circles, puffiness, so many little hassles! Especially since the eyes are a very specific area of the face in terms of care. Result:our gaze and our eye contour often reflects our rhythm of life and its vagaries:night too short, stress, fatigue, blue light from screens, signs of aging, etc... And for good reason, 4 times thinner and more sensitive than the skin on the rest of our face, that around the eyes requires specific care.

Find the problem

The skin around the eyes most often lacks protection and experiences problems with dryness, irritation and redness. The loss of firmness, over the years, also reveals wrinkles and fine lines. Added to this is one of our biggest concerns:dark circles.

Dark circles and bags under the eyes usually appear due to poor blood circulation or an imbalance in the lymphatic system, which performs the drainage function of our body. They can also be the consequence of a non-optimal lifestyle (lack of sleep, stress, unbalanced diet, etc.), hereditary factors or hormonal changes. A distinction is usually made between bluish dark circles, linked to blood microcirculation, and brown dark circles, more common in people with dark skin and caused by heredity.

Reduce your dark circles, naturally

In winter, dark circles are much more visible due to lack of light, shorter days, more intense fatigue. And when it's cold, it's often difficult to motivate yourself to play sports, get up early or eat a balanced diet! However, a healthy lifestyle is one of the most important factors to focus on to avoid the formation of bags and dark circles under the eyes:

- Go to bed at regular times

- Take breaks and time for yourself

- Limit excess food (too rich, industrial diet)

- Limit excess alcohol

- Drink plenty of water (water, herbal teas)

- Limit the consumption of salt which promotes water retention responsible for swelling

The skin around the eyes is 4 times thinner than the rest of the face! To avoid attacking it, we adopt the right gestures by performing gentle movements with appropriate care. We choose them rather fresh and fluid, because, too rich, they accentuate the small bags and swellings under the eyes. To apply it, use a very small amount that is penetrated by tapping gently with your finger from the inside to the outside of the ring to decongest. Opting for a roll-on is ideal:it allows you to massage the contour of the eye in order to revive the blood micro-circulation which will allow the puffiness to be deflated. A tip? Keep your eye cream in the fridge:the cold will reduce swelling.

Of course, no impasse on daily make-up removal to prevent the appearance of dark circles and puffy eyes when you wake up! It is always an essential gesture. For the most delicate make-up removal, choose a make-up remover oil that can be applied directly to the eye contour or using a washable and reusable cotton pad (choose a soft material and avoid rubbing your eyes too hard) .
