While an American DJ has just launched his clothing brand, it's hard not to laugh when you learn his name, and you're French.
Do you see yourself, wearing your beautiful "BITE" t-shirt, walking down a French street? Nope ? Spoiler alert:you're not the only one.
Since DJ Jauz launched his clothing brand, with sweatshirts (count 85 dollars), anoraks (125 dollars) and t-shirts (30 dollars), branded with this word which clearly does not have the same meaning in English and French (in English, it means "to bite" or "to bite" while in French... you understand), it has become the laughingstock of the French web.
"Size does not matter", jokes a user, while YouTuber Cyprien wants to get one of the models urgently. There are hundreds of mocking comments, which advise the DJ to use an English - French translator for a moment.
On Twitter, Jauz (who also indicated that BITE also means "stealing a musical style"), ended up responding to the French community. "I get it:BITE means dick in French. I'll make you a special collection that will say 'Bite' or 'manger' if you just stop talking about it."
Not sure that his request calms many people. One of his last posts, with "BITE" clothes of course, continues to amuse the (French) gallery.
Something to annoy the person concerned. "All these French kids who don't say anything when I release an album, and who suddenly wake up," the DJ ended up tweeting. Nothing like a saucy word to conquer a new audience.
